Description: An open letter to Mayor Robert Wagner from the Met Council on Housing demands a new approach to urban renewal. The letter demands the removal of Robert Moses and an end to the policies of the Slum Clearance Committee. By the late 1950s, urban renewal faced growing opposition from city residents.
