Met Council on Housing helped craft Intro 477, the Tenants' Bill of Rights Law, legislation currently before the City Council, which would help stop the abuse of thousands of tenants who are taken advantage of because they're unaware of their basic rights.
The law would a summary of tenants' basic rights to be posted in the lobby of every privately-owned residential building with at least three apartments, and given to tenants along with their leases. Learn more...
